Meet Lou- Head Flight Instructor
With over 13,000 flight hours and more than 35 years dedicated to aviation safety, Lou brings unparalleled expertise to our flight school. His distinguished dual career with the Federal Aviation Administration and the United States Air Force Reserve spanned over three decades, earning him numerous honors before his retirement in 2000. Even in retirement, Lou remains deeply committed to aviation, volunteering his time as a pilot for the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.
Now, Lou shares his passion for flying by training the next generation of pilots at East Hampton Airport. He holds an Airline Transport Pilot certificate, Flight Engineer certificate, and Flight Instructor certificate with ratings for fixed-wing, rotorcraft, and instrument instruction. Additionally, he is a certified A&P mechanic with Inspector Authorization. With experience flying everything from a Cessna 152 to a Boeing 767, Lou’s knowledge and hands-on expertise make him an invaluable mentor for aspiring aviators.

Meet Julie!
Julie has over 1,000 hours of instruction time and has flown Cessna 172s, Piper Archers, and Piper Seminoles. Julie has been instructing on Long Island since 2023 and currently lives in Sag Harbor.
Julie started flying in 2022 at a flight school in Denver, Colorado. She completed an accelerated program with a commercial single engine and multi-engine certificate as well as a flight instructor certificate for single and multi-engine airplane. She is also an instrument rated instructor.
